Business Booster 2021

Following on from the successes of the past two years, we are delighted to announce dates for our 2021 business engagement training programme.

This industry focused training will give social science PhD students valuable insight and transferable skills for knowledge exchange and collaboration with private sector business and industry. Over a period of six weeks, the aim of this exciting collaborative experience is to familiarise researchers with tools and techniques that can support business engagement in their future careers. Participants can expect to become more familiar with the necessary negotiating, problem solving, communication and pitching skills required to address business challenges.  This programme will introduce researchers to startup companies and large firms using a mixture of practical experience, direct business engagement, MBA style teaching, classroom discussion, group work, regular communications with the facilitator, assignments and the completion of a short asynchronous course on IP that students can complete individually in their own time.
