In this workshop we will discuss what we mean by ‘industry partners’ and which partners may be relevant for participants’ different research areas. We will discuss the value of engaging with industry partners, approaches to building partnerships and what success looks like with good partnership. The session is led by Dr Andrew Manches who will share experiences of the challenges and value of partnership from his own engagement which led this year to the 2022 Scottish Knowledge Exchange award and also his insights from spinning out a company. However, the session will be highly interactive and very much grounded upon participants’ own experiences, ideas and interests.
