In this training, audiences can expect to: 1) understand the nature of conducting interviews (focus groups and individual interviews); 2) get to know how to design interviews for different interviewees; 3) share and discuss about their interview plan; 3) be clear about what are the key factors for engaging various interviewees; and 4) try mock interviews in different circumstances.
The training will be delivered by Daisy Bao, a PhD student at the Moray House of the University of Edinburgh. She has interviewed diverse participants, including children, university students, university staff/teachers, and civil servants.
This event will be three hours in total, including three 55-minute sessions and three 5-minute breaks. The training aims to promote knowledge exchange and experience sharing by combining presentations, discussions, interactive activities, and mock interviews. No specific prior knowledge is required to attend the training. This training will be of value to students who plan to interview peers or elite participants.
