led by Professor Adina Dudau, University of Glasgow
This series of sessions is developed for SGSSS-funded students in the first year of their PhD. It will introduce you to essential areas of knowledge and skills for contemporary social science researchers, equipping you with a strong foundation for a successful PhD. It covers core project management aspects, research integrity and ethics, communication and engagement strategies as well as emerging areas like use of generative AI.
This session offers a peek into the “hidden curriculum” of research dissemination by focusing on the journal publication process, addressing things doctoral students could do to engage positively with this process.
