Learning Classic Grounded Theory

Grounded theory is one of the most widely used methodologies in the social sciences, founded by two sociologists, Barney G. Glaser and Anselm L. Strauss, in the 1960s. Over the past decades, several versions of the methodology have been developed, of which this training focuses on classic grounded theory. By the end of the training, participants will understand the origins of grounded theory methodology and the main differences between its major variants, become familiar with the basic procedures and terminology of the methodology, and gain experience in the use of open coding, constant comparison and memo-writing methods. iThe training will consist of three 55-minute sessions, interrupted by five-minute breaks.
