led by Dr Adina Dudau
Publishing is our currency in academia and there is a long and steep learning curve to it, because it is not about what we know, nor about how good researchers we are, it is about how we report what we have come to know and also about who we are reporting it to. In this session, we will explore publication strategies, from persuasion strategies to applied formulas, and from co-authoring to reviewing and dealing with reviews. All the while, we are being mindful of ethics in publishing, including avoidance of ‘salami slicing’ and ‘data recycling’. Productivity is important but ethical boundaries allow for sustainable publishing practices.
Who’s it for?
The strategies discussed and practiced during the session are discipline specific. Accounting, business and management students from the SGSSS AFBM pathway are most likely to benefit from the session. I look forward to meeting you in June!
