In this workshop, you will be introduced to podcasting as a creative tool for research output to reach international audiences and inspire interdisciplinary collaborations. Join Annie and Julia, hosts of the podcast Gender Gab, to learn the basics of starting and managing your own far-reaching podcast series. This online workshop will consist of overviews provided by the organisers as well as various fun small group activities for you to get your podcast started.
This workshop will include:
- how to get started with an idea
- how to create a title
- how to draft outlines
- how to record, edit, and distribute your podcasts
- how to advertise on social media
- how to seek collaborations
- how to manage limitations of podcasts (e.g. accessibility)
You will be provided with a ‘getting started’ outline, receive information on some potential software to use, and have the opportunity to ask questions throughout.
