Aimed at those entering 2nd and 3rd year, this session will provide a space to think through the challenges of project planning in uncertain times. All researchers have had to respond rapidly to a world of social distancing, limited travel and increased health risks. These uncertainties will continue into the future and require us all to review our project plans and to assess risks, putting in place mitigation strategies.
In this session, we will work through an archetypal social science PhD project and evaluate changes needed to accommodate public health requirements relating to COVID-19 as well as providing an opportunity to explore other possible risks; foreseen and unforeseen.
In preparation for the session, participants will be asked to reflect on their own project as it was originally planned, to summarise key changes already made, and to reflect on future risks, disruption and mitigation. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and explore issues specific to your project.
This session will be run via Collaborate. The session link will be shared closer to the event date.
Please note, registrations for this event close on Tuesday 2nd September at 12pm.
